Privacy and cookie policy

Since May 25, 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has taken effect. The GDPR is a regulation that requires businesses to protect the personal data and privacy of EU citizens for transactions that occur within EU member states.

Privacy policy

Counting Flowers assures that your personal information is kept private and confidential and at no time will be rent or sold to third parties.

As stated in the GDPR you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. If you do not want us to use your personal details, please send us an email to confirm your objections. Upon receipt of your email we will delete your personal information from our system.

Using your personal data when you place an order

When you purchase a scarf or shawl in our web shop, we will ask you to leave your name, address, email address and phone number. We will use this information to make sure you will receive your order swiftly.

Your email address will be used to send you a confirmation of your order and to inform you about the tracking code and the estimated date of delivery. We will only call you by phone if there is something unclear about your order. You are under no obligation to fill out your phone number. Six month after your purchase your personal data will automatically be deleted from our database.

Payments are done via our Payment Service Provider Buckaroo. We have a signed 'data processing agreement' with Buckaroo regarding the protection of your personal data.

Using your email address to send our newsletter

When you subscribed to our monthly newsletter, you automatically gave us permission to share your email address with MailChimp, the US-based marketing platform through which we create and send our newsletters.

MailChimp participates and has certified its compliance to the Privacy Shield framework, an example of an 'adequacy decision' under the GDPR. MailChimp is committed to treating all personal data received from EU member countries in accordance with the Privacy Shield framework’s applicable principles.
