How pretty do our scarves come? This unique (there exists only one) piece covered with complex details is handwoven by Kelzang Wangmo from Bhutan.

Bhutan is an extraordinary weaving-country. The current generation master weavers learned to create the most intricate weaving patterns from their mothers and grandmothers.

The design of this scarf (silk pattern on cotton ground) is based on the 'Kera', the traditional Bhutanese belt for women.

Kelzang creates all designs herself and provides around one hundred vulnerable women with weaving work.
