Because we believe that every child has a fundamental right to good education, all profit of Counting Flowers goes to education initiatives. A shawl or scarve of Counting Flowers thus does not only contribute to employement opportunities of the current generation; it also contributes to the income of the next generation.

Young Focus supports children, who are living at Manila's largest garbage belt Smokey Mountain, to go to school.

More girls in school

130 Million girls won't go to school today (source: UNESCO - external link). And they won't be going to school tomorrow, because they are living in countries where education isn't obvious for them.

The UN calculated that with each additional year a girl goes to school, her future income will increase ten percent (source: UNESCO - external link).

That's why education is key to the development of each child as well as the community she belongs to. A well educated girl has a far greater chance for a better future.
